Overview

The program is concerned with graduating outstanding cadres fluent in oriental languages. The department combines three divisions:
1- Islamic nations' language and their literature division
The student studies The Persian language and its rules, literature, history, civilization, arts, and all of its aspects
2- Semitism nations' language and their literature division
The student studies all different levels and stages of the Hebrew language (old - middle- new) as a major and in parallel, studies literature related to those stages. In addition, a second language: Ethiopic or Syriac language.
3- Turkish language division
The student studies all different levels and stages of the Turkish language (old - middle- new) as a major and in parallel, studies literature related to those stages.
Goals:
- To enable students from discovering Middle East languages and Middle and East of Asia in addition to their literature, historical effects, and its relation with the Arabic language.
- Studying literature and language relations between Islamic nations.
- Prepare a graduate who excels in Oriental languages lingually and literarily.
