Students Union

It is a student organization that leads the university and faculty students. It works on organizing student's activities. It is considered to be the institute representing students. The union consists of 8 members chosen through elections done by the end of November each year. Students of each academic year elect two members, where members of each committee (along the faculty) elect between each of them “custodian and vice custodian” for this committee. Union council consists of custodians and vice custodians of committees and elects from them the head of faculty’s union.

Election terms and conditions

For students to run for any of the Students Union positions, he/she must be fitting the following criteria:

  • The candidate must be Egyptian.
  • Must be reputable
  • The student must be a freshman if he/she is enrolled in a certified hours or semester system, whether he/she is a regular or affiliated student.
  • He/she must be new to the Students Union and has not failed in more than two subjects in the previous academic year. (for certified hours students)
  • He/she must have a portfolio in the student's activities sector and it must be related to the activity of the committee that he/she would like to be run for (except first year students).
  • He/she must have a clean record and never has been sentenced to penalties mentioned in articles (5) and (13) of the subject (126) of the Students Union regulation.
  • He/she must have a clean criminal record, whereby he/she has not been accused of any crime violating honor or integrity.
  • He/she must not be a member of illegal terrorist groups.

Required documents

  • Filling the nomination application at the students care administration.
  • 2 recent photos and 2 copies of the national ID card.
  • 2 copies of the faculty ID for the new year.
  • Electoral platform.

Union’s goals:

To support student’s rights in expressing their opinions.
To develop national awareness between students and enhance socialism and unity concepts.
To direct students towards good manners that will be their weapon in the working field.
